All you have to do is take your favorite music and replace the right track in the Music folder. MUSIC: Have you played the game multiple times over, and feel as if the music, while good on both soundtracks (MINUS that creepy as F*** boss theme!), was growing slightly annoying or repetitive? Then this is the option for you! It is literally the EASIEST modding area. I will run you through the areas that I have modded successfully.

There are areas that I have not tried to mod due to my worry that my inability to mod the areas right will cause the game to screw up. Now I wll say this right off the bat: I am not THAT experienced in modding this game. I always start with the music, as it is usually the easiest part of the game to fix (hence REMIXED & Remastered. Okay, to begin this step, you will choose one of the areas of the game to start with. NOTE: EDITING CERTAIN AREAS OF THE GAME MIGHT CAUSE THE GAME TO CRASH, OR CAUSE YOUR GAME TO SHOW VERY GLITCHED SCREENS. If you double click this folder, you'll see multiple folders that lead to the music, sprites, etc. It will unpack the Data, and in the folder you will see a "Data" folder. Retrun.exe x Data.rsdk -2 -d=Unpack (Albeit that there appear to be a few variations, I cannot exactly say you will be using the exact command.) Now that you have set the destination for extraction, you will need to put in the following command in CMD: Now, you go to the CMD and type (AS FOLLOWED IN EXAMPLE):ĬD C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sonic CD (This is not the address that you will see, but will be used for the duration of this guide for time saving purposes.) This allows you to use the current folder address in CMD to extract the Data. After you copy the the Data over, you will right click the address in the file explorer (Basivally the Retrun part in the bar above the files), and click "copy address as text". It is also advised to save another copy of said Data in another folder for backup/rollback in case your Data doesn't work properly. This will bring up the Command Line Interface, which is used to extract the Data with Retrun.įirst, while you are preparing CMD, you'll need to copy/paste the Data into the Retrun folder. Go to your Start menu, and search up the term "CMD". This is where you'll start getting technical. By now, if you have dabbled yourself, you'll notice that Retrun will require its own folder, and not open by normal means. This is a very easy step, given you know what you're doing. Okay, first thing you'll do is extract the Data.
